Our school's envirogroup began planting alongside the banks of the Waiwhetū Stream, opposite our school, in 2013. We have since planted hundreds of native trees, shrubs, flaxes and grasses. We really want to expand this project and this year will do so in partnership with Hutt City Council, the Naenae Nature Trust and Friends of Waiwhetū Stream. Together we will develop and plant both sides of a 185m stretch of stream.
Funders matched to this planter
