The Galeo Residents Association was established approximately 8-10 years ago when Galeo Estate housing development was started. A semi-rural sub-division of about 66 houses spread over the hillsides in the Redwood Valley area of Tasman District. Last month, as per the Resource Consent for the Development, the ownership and overseeing of the “Estate” and of its reserves and waste treatment plant and so on passed from the Developer to the Residents Association. We now need to continue the planting and care of the shared reserves in the Estate. There is a professional Management Plan drawn up by "Landscape Architects Ltd of Christchurch. However, we need help with financing the planting and care of trees to restore the native flora and fauna and protect our waterways.
