From small seeds big trees can grow. The energyclubnz NextGen Tree Registry has been created to support the Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough communities. Trees funded through this registry will be planted locally so that we can take positive action to help offset climate change. This registry has been named in honour of NextGen Energy, a Nelson based community electricity retailer created in September 2016, led by local entrepreneur Nathan Gillette. NextGen transferred its customers to energyclubnz after it decided to exit the electricity market. This Registry has been created to grow over time, with the help of the local energyclubnz members. It also takes personal donations of trees and has been started by a donation from energyclubnz's founder David Goadby on behalf of Nathan and himself.
