Trees for Kiwi Babies
Created On: 15 June 2018
This registry was created by:
Trees That Count
NGO / Trust / Philanthropic Organisation
Imagine if New Zealand celebrated the arrival of the Prime Minister's new baby by crowdfunding a native forest to celebrate the birth of EVERY new baby born this year. We reckon that gifting a native tree for a new baby should be the Kiwi thing to do, so we've set a target to see 60,000 trees gifted - one for every baby born this year. Donations to this Tree Registry will go towards native tree planting events during Matariki 2019. We'll be inviting new Kiwi parents and their 2018 babies to come along and plant a tree. There’s nothing better we can do for our children and grandchildren than to act now for climate change, and planting a native tree for every baby born is a lovely way to honour a new arrival. Celebrate the arrival of a 2018 baby with us by gifting a tree. It could be your own, your friend's or it could be the Prime Minister's. P.S - we're a charity, so every donation you make to any Tree Registry on this site is tax deductible and a Donation Receipt will be emailed to you.
